As a broadly experienced generalist with 30 years of international experience, his functional and advisory roles have enabled distinguished visions to be realized in public, private and non-profit businesses. Lawrence brings strategic clarity, alignment and focus to his clients while leveraging flexible, scalable and effective techniques to help them translate their vision into results. His book 'Strategic DNA - Bringing Business Strategies to Life' was published by Agate B2 in September 2008.
Lawrence is also active as a facilitator, executive coach and public speaker where his energetic anecdote-illustrated presentations invariably engage his audiences.
Angela Hobbs M.Ed. (Calgary)
Angela leads Chinook’s research and project support efforts for clients in the Public, Financial Services, Health & Wellness and Agricultural sectors. Her 'knowledge mining' experience spans a wide range of subjects from micro-banking and performance measurement in the utility industry to active lifestyles interventions and industry cluster development. Angela is the author of 'The Sick House Survival Guide'. Her book explores the effects of chemicals and electromagnetic fields on the human immune system.
Tim Hornett PMP, IEng MIET (Calgary)
Tim is a seasoned project manager, advisor and trainer with over 35 years of national and international experience. He has played several engineering and project roles in a range of projects within commercial and defence companies. Tim specializes in optimizing the value created by project management implementations. He has designed, developed and managed Program Management Offices and Centers of Excellence for major global corporations both in Canada and overseas.
Manuel Reta Fernández BSc MBA (Mexico City)
Manuel is a seasoned professional strategist with experience as both an internal leader and consulting advisor. After obtaining his MBA from INSEAD in France, Manuel spent ten years with McKinsey and Company in Mexico and Brazil leading strategically vital projects in industries as diverse as financial services, postal couriers, infrastructure development, utilities and energy companies. Manuel left McKinsey to assume a functional leadership role as Director of Strategy Management for Mexico’s largest domestic insurer Grupo Nacional Provincial. He then returned to consulting directing balanced scorecard engagements in Latin America, Russia and China for Symnetics before establishing Chinook Solution’s Mexican affiliate ATSC in 2007. Manuel has led strategy projects with prestigious clients such as McDonalds, PepsiCo and MetLife.
Barbara Theurkauf MBA (Hartford, CT)
Barbara has a strong background in the financial services industry, including insurance, banking and broker dealer clients. She has led efforts to build and/or redesign key functions, to align functions with changing market needs, and to establish program management offices that guide key strategic initiatives. Barbara was previously a managing partner with Emergence Consulting, a strategy and knowledge management consultancy, and a leader in the financial services practice of a global management consultancy. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Tepper School of Management at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
